International Security Officer Day originated in Australia 10 years ago and is now celebrated by the security industry globally.
This date is significant as it represents the 24/7 nature of security work and recognising the 25 million private security personnel worldwide that contribute to performing important frontline roles that keep us all safe.
On this day, our community is given the opportunity to recognise and thank the security personnel who work tirelessly, sometimes behind the scenes 24 hours per day, 7 days per week!
ASIAL is asking our community to use this International Security Officers’ Day to “simply smile at that person and say thank you.”
So please, if you see security personnel this 24th July, please give them a smile and a quick thank you to acknowledge that they are truly appreciated and that you recognise them on International Security Officers’ Day.
