A few weeks ago cyber criminals released a global cyber attack on governmental agencies. The WannaCry Ransomeware attack has been describes as the “biggest cyber attack in history” with over 150 countries being affected.

The virus was a new variant of the existing WannaCry malware and affected Window devices.

Our advise to our clients would be as follows:

* Ensure that your computer has an anitvirus program and this is kept upt o date with the latest updates available

* Ensure you always have a back up of your system and if possible more than one back up in case one gets corrupted

* Ensure you run the latest Windows update to keep your system patches up to date

* Always be vigilant when opening links or attachments especially from suspicious email recipents
